Soccer and Other Passions: an Exhibition by the Artist, Beate Wiedemann
In 2010, patients attending the Center for Interdisciplinary Therapies (ZiT) in Konstanz were surprised by an unexpected and unique source of pleasure: in many of the treatment rooms and the large corridors through the house, they had a chance to marvel at the paintings of Beate Wiedemann. Under the title, "Soccer and Other Passions," the artist is exhibiting a selection of her work here.
On February 5, 2010, the exhibition of works by the artist, who is renowned well beyond the boundaries of her home in Kaiserstuhl, had a formal opening ceremony in Konstanz. With exquisite morsels cooked by the gourmet chef, Thomas Wernet from the Hotel Steinbuck in Bischoffingen, and excellent glasses of wine from the Bercher-Schmidt vineyards in Oberrotweil, visitors had the opportunity for a leisurely close encounter with the artwork.
