Myoreflex therapy for the US national soccer team
Since Jürgen Klinsmann took over the coaching position of the US national team in summer 2011, he has relied on myoreflex therapy as a guarantee for the fitness, health and rapid regeneration of his players. After getting to know Kurt Mosetter in 2008 and the form of therapy he had developed and also experiencing firsthand how it saved him from a serious operation, Klinsmann is an inveterate fan of Myoreflex therapy.
And so, quickly after taking the coaching position in the USA, Kurt Mosetter was called to support the US boys - in preparation for games and tournaments, after injuries and as a consultant for nutrition, fitness measures and injury prevention. With Niklas Albers, formerly on the supervisory bench of the Hamburg handball league team HSV Handball, he also brought an extremely experienced Myoreflex therapist into the team. Since then, the professionals playing at clubs in Germany and other European countries have been particularly happy to take advantage of the option of being treated or getting fit with Myoreflex therapy.
The direction was clear from the start: the goal was to participate in the final round of the World Cup in Brazil in 2014! After the team had solidly achieved this goal, the World Cup in South America was an absolute highlight! And with the crazy draw, which brought the Americans into a group with Germany, there was also a highly exciting and symbolic game of the two friendly coaches and former colleagues Jürgen Klinsmann and Joachim Löw.
Although the tournament ended for the American team after being kicked out from Belgium, the project was a great success. And so the prospects for the next World Cup 2018 in Russia are good: Due to the high level of consistency in the team and also in the support team and the solid victories against big soccer countries such as Germany and the Netherlands in the test matches, the signs are good to play with further success.
