11th International Auriculotherapy Symposium

Date 08.09.2023 | Copenhagen

Auriculotherapy is based on the discovery that the ear represents the whole body and is somatotopically (point to point - zone to zone) oriented corresponding to the whole body. Auriculotherapy has become the WHO's recognition in 1991.

  • Vagal nerve stimulation in Auriculotherapy.
  • Psychotraumatology - How to modulate brain networks
  • Chronic pain related to the field of psychology.
  • Auriculotherapy for mental disorders.

The symposium in Copenhagen will give a wide range of scientific informations and I going to build interdisciplinary bridges. In line with the tradition of Paul Nogier recent developments in Auriculotherapy (Earacupuncture (AT) focus on treatment of psychic syndromes. AT may be a first-line intervention, but is also practiced by psychotherapists to support Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy (PDT) and Psychopharmacology (PhT) interventions. The 11th International Auriculotherapy Symposium will be building bridges between AT and psychotherapy.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their work in the whole field of psychology, where AT interventions may contribute to a complex multidisciplinary approach that is a milestone in integrative medicine.

Background: the number of people diagnosed to have psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, functional disorders, and PTSD is rising worldwide. AT is an effective method, generally free of side effects, which may be practiced as an alternative or complementary medicine to all therapies in the field of psychology."
